Paper-1: Principles and Practices of Accounting

Principles and Practices of Accounting is the very first paper in CA Foundation. The CA Foundation accounts syllabus consists of basic accounting which students have studied in the 11th and 12th commerce field i.e. Basic Concept of Accounting.

Paper-3: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics

This is the third paper of the CA Foundation which helps students to develop an understanding of Basic MathsReasoning and Statistical with their application in business, Finance, and Economics and also develop logical understanding to solve problems. CA Foundation maths syllabus consist of 40 marks. Whereas the CA Foundation syllabus of reasoning covers 20 marks and of statistics covers 40 marks.

CA Foundation May 2022 Paper Pattern

Given below are a few important points regarding the CA Foundation exam pattern. The below-mentioned points are related to the exam paper pattern and marking scheme of the CA Foundation.

  1. CA Foundation Exam consists of Four Subjects, each consisting of 100 marks i.e. a total of 400 marks.
  2. In CA Foundation Two Subjects are Objective Paper and Two Subjects are of Subjective Pattern.
  3. Paper 1 and 2 are subjective and Paper 3 and 4 are Objective types.
  4. There is a 0.25 Negative Marking for every wrong answer to an objective question.
  5. CA Foundation Exams are conducted twice a year i.e. in Nov.
  6. Students have a choice to give CA Foundation Exams in English or Hindi Medium.
  7. Candidates need to attain a minimum of 40% marks in every subject and a minimum of 50% of the aggregate of marks in all subjects.
  8. Each paper is divided into sections with a given approximate range of marks weightage in the paper.
