What these numbers mean
The overall ICAI pass percentage for September 2025 clearly reflects the high difficulty level of the CA examinations. The Final level pass rates (24-25 % for individual groups) remain modest. For the Intermediate level, the significant gap between Group I (about 9 %) and Group II (about 27 %) highlights the challenge of certain subject-groups. The Foundation level continues to record pass rates in the teens.
Why tracking the ICAI pass percentage matters
Aspirants, coaching institutes and educators closely monitor the ICAI pass percentage because it indicates exam difficulty, changing trends in student preparation and helps in realistic planning of study strategies. Lower pass percentages urge earlier and more focused preparation, while modest improvements signal changes in exam patterns or student readiness.
Next steps for students
- Check your result on the official ICAI portal using roll number and registration number.
- Analyse subject-wise performance if you passed, or evaluate weak areas if you did not clear.
- Plan for the next attempt: given the pass percentage, careful time-table, revision and real-time practice must be prioritized.
