UP Board Marking Scheme and Exam Pattern for Class 12th (2022-23)

The UP board has released the marking scheme and exam pattern for class 12th 2022-23 exams. For the ongoing sessions, the UPMSP board has made some updates to the paper pattern that every student must know. 

The paper is divided into 2 parts. The first part is of 20 marks and consists of multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. The second part accounts for 50 marks comprising of short and long answer type questions. 

Therefore, the total marks of the papers are 70 marks. Students will get three hours to complete the exam with extra 15 minutes of time for reading.

UP Board Class 12th Exam Pattern 2022-23

The practical exam subjects have 70 marks(theory papers) and 30 marks(for practical with internal evaluation). In the following table, you’ll know the UPMSP exam pattern of important 12th subjects:

How to calculate the UP Board GPA using percentage?

CGPA Formula = Sum of grade points obtained in subjects/number of subjects.

  • Firstly considering the below table, every subject’s grade must be noted.
  • Now you must add every subject’s grade points.
  • The overall GPA of the UP Board is the final value.

The 12th class GPA with ‘B2’.The overall class of the UP Board is Seven. The overall grade of the 12th GPA was ‘B2’.

Calculate percentage : CGPA X 9.5= Obtained Percentage

UP Board 12th Grading System 2022-23 – Theoretical Exams

On the given following criteria the theory exam grades have been assigned. For clearing the theory paper a ‘D’ grade must be achieved by the candidates.
