ICAI News – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially set a new world milestone — a Guinness World Record — by organizing the largest career-advice session ever held.
On 28 November 2025, ICAI hosted the event titled CAFY 4.0 & Super Mega Career Counselling Programme – भविष्य की राह in Mumbai. The session drew over 7,400 attendees, including students, teachers, principals and other participants. Among them, 6,166 students were marked eligible under Guinness criteria — making the event the “Largest careers advice lesson” on record.
What the Event Offered
ICAI used this record-setting session to provide comprehensive career guidance for youth — from Class VI students to graduates. The counselling covered multiple streams including humanities, science, commerce, as well as emerging areas relevant to India’s evolving economy.
Participants received insights into differences between short-term jobs & long-term careers, how to choose a stream based on interest & strengths, & what opportunities exist in commerce, finance, and other fields. The session also explained the structure and benefits of the CA course, talked about scholarships, and highlighted global career possibilities for aspiring chartered accountants.
