ICAI News – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has officially announced the CA Foundation Exam Date Sept. 2026 attempt.
As per ICAI’s official announcement, the CA Foundation exams for September 2026 will take place in offline mode on September 2, 5, 7, & 9, 2026. Papers 1 & 2 will be of descriptive type. Paper 3 & Paper 4 will contain objective type questions.
CA Foundation Exam Date Sept 2026 (Official Schedule)
Here is the official exam timetable for the Sept. 2026 attempt:

| Paper 4 | Business Economics | 9th Sept. 2026 | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM |
Note that papers 1 & 2 have been scheduled for three hours, but papers 3 & 4 will continue for two hours since these papers will contain multiple choice questions (MCQs).
CA Foundation Sept 2026 Exam Timing
Candidates must know the following exam timings. It may differ according to different paper formats as mentioned below.
- Paper 1 & Paper 2: 2 PM to 5 PM
- Paper 3 & Paper 4: 2 PM to 4 PM
It is recommended that candidates arrive at the exam center in advance to prevent any last minute confusion and complete formalities effortlessly.
CA Foundation Sept 2026 Important Dates
Apart from CA Foundation Exam Dates, another thing to be remembered is the timeline for the examination forms. It has been reported that ICAI will start the examination forms for September from July 2026.
Expected important dates include:
- Exam Form Start Date: 6th July, 2026
- Last Date Without Late Fee: 19th July, 2026
- Correction Window: 22nd July – 25th July, 2026
- Exam Dates: 2nd, 5th, 7th, and 9th Sept., 2026
