ICAI has extended the MEF form deadline for 2025-26 to October 10, 2025. The PDC has confirmed this is the final extension.
In a recent notice, the ICAI’s Professional Development Committee (PDC) announced an extension of the deadline for the 2025-26 Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF). Moreover, the online MEF submission window has been moved to 10 October 2025 (from the originally scheduled 26 September 2025). The PDC emphasized that this will be the final extension, as the Bank Branch Auditors’ panel must be finalized and submitted to the Reserve Bank of India on time.

The MEF collects members’ qualifications and audit experience data, which ICAI shares with regulators for empanelment purposes. As noted on the ICAI website, “Members are advised to go through the Advisory” before filling the MEF. The portal also explains that the data “is shared by ICAI with RBI, NABARD and other authorities” for empanelment. Chartered Accountants must register or log in at the ICAI MEF portal (https://meficai.org) to complete the form.
