ICAI News – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the ICAI exam dates May 2026 for Foundation, Inter, & Final courses. The official notification confirms the May 2026 exam schedule and key application windows.
ICAI Exam Schedule May 2026
- Final Course: Group-I on 2, 4 & 6 May 2026; Group-II on 8, 10 & 12 May 2026.
- Intermediate Course: Group-I on 3, 5 & 7 May 2026; Group-II on 9, 11 & 13 May 2026.
- Foundation Course: 14, 16, 18 & 20 May 2026.
- Post-Qualification (INTT-AT): 10 & 12 May 2026. These dates are published in ICAI’s official announcement.
Exam timings and duration
Most papers start from 2:00 PM & end at 5:00 PM (IST) and are 3 hours long. Some papers have different duration: Foundation Papers 3 & 4 are 2 hours, Final Paper 6 and all INTT-AT papers are 4 hours (2:00 PM–6:00 PM). Advance reading time of 15 minutes (where applicable) is also mentioned in the notification.
How and when to apply
Online application (SSP at eservices.icai.org) opens on 3 March 2026. The last date without late fee is 16 March 2026 and forms can be submitted with a late fee until 19 March 2026. A correction window for city/medium changes runs 20–22 March 2026. Fees and payment modes are listed in the notice.
Cities & overseas centres
May 2026 exams will be held at numerous Indian cities (state-wise list provided in the notification) and at 9 overseas centres including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Kathmandu and Riyadh. ICAI may withdraw any centre later if needed.
