ICAI News – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a revised schedule for the CA Inter Auditing & Ethics exam across India & Abroad.
What Is the Revised Schedule for CA Inter Auditing Exam?
Earlier, the CA Inter Auditing, & Ethics exam was scheduled to be held on 19th January. However, ICAI has now revised the exam date.
1. New Exam Date: 31st January, 2026
2. Exam Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
3. Exam Centres: Same centres as originally allotted
This update is part of the official ca exam revised schedule released by ICAI for the January 2026 examination cycle.
Will Admit Cards Change? No. ICAI has clearly stated that admit cards already issued will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Students do not need to download a new admit card or make any changes.
Reason Behind the Change
The revised date has been announced as a continuation of ICAI’s earlier important announcement dated 17 January 2026. The change applies only to CA Inter Group II Paper 5 – Auditing and Ethics. No other CA Inter paper dates have been altered.
What About Other CA Exams?
ICAI has confirmed that:
- Remaining CA Foundation January 2026 papers will be held as per the original schedule
- There is no change in timings or centres for these papers
Also, ICAI has also made it cleared that even if the exam day is declared a public holiday by the Central or State Government, the exam will still be conducted as per the new schedule.
What Should Students Do Now?
- Update your study plan as per the ca exam revised schedule
- Focus revision on Auditing and Ethics with the extra time available
- Keep checking the official ICAI website for any further updates
- Reach the exam centre as per the original instructions
