ICAI’s Major Announcement: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has shared two big ICAI Announcements this week. Both come from the official ICAI website and are set to help and motivate CA students in a big way. Here are 2 Biggest ICAI Announcements, which you need to know.
- CA Foundation Will Now Have Ranks
Till now, CA Foundation didn’t have official ranks. Students only got to know who the toppers were, but there were no formal All India Ranks (AIR). As per the latest ICAI Announcement, this is going to change from the May 2025 exam. ICAI will now declare the Top 20 AIRs in the CA Foundation result.
This means if you do well, you could see your name officially in the top 20 across India. For CA Inter and Final exams, things stay the same, they will still have Top 50 AIRs. This move is meant to motivate Foundation students and give them recognition for their hard work.
- ICAI Scholarship Amount Increased
ICAI has also announced a big change in its scholarship scheme. This is only for CA Inter and Final students. Check the official announcement here.
As per the ICAI Announcement:
- The Income limit to get the scholarship has gone up to ₹5 lakh per year. Earlier, it was only ₹3 lakh.
- The monthly scholarship amount has also been raised:
- Students who get AIR 1-10 will now get ₹5,000 every month. Before, it was only ₹2,500.
- If you get AIR 11- 50, you’ll get ₹4,000 each month. Earlier, it was ₹2,000.
- Even if you don’t get an AIR but still qualify, you can get ₹2,500 a month. Earlier, this amount was ₹1,500.
These two updates were shared by ICAI in their latest ICAI Announcement. It is shown that credit is being given to students who do well, and support is being offered to those who need it most.
