Second Edition of ICAI GCC Summit in Ahmedabad

India’s $300 billion global services industry is entering a new phase, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is determined to place Chartered Accountants at the centre of this transformation.

ICAI will host the second edition of the Global Capability Centres (GCC) Summit on held on August 29–30 at GIFT City Club, Ahmedabad, under the theme “From Ledgers to Leadership.” The event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, finance experts, and ICAI members to discuss India’s growing dominance in capability-driven global delivery.

Following the successful first edition in New Delhi earlier this year, the Ahmedabad summit adds strategic weight. GIFT City, India’s first operational International Financial Services Centre, represents the country’s ambition to become a hub for global capital, fintech, compliance, and governance.

Chartered Accountants Leading Global Transformation

ICAI President CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda said, “India is not just part of the GCC summit wave—we are shaping it. Our Chartered Accountants are business leaders, setting the global agenda.” He emphasised ICAI’s role in skill-building, policy engagement, and positioning CAs as value architects in a capability-rich ecosystem.

Digital transformation will be a key focus, with sessions on AI-powered audits, real-time risk management, and ESG-first advisory services. CA. Sanjeev Singhal, Programme Director, noted that CAs must now command digital systems and deliver real-time governance, moving beyond traditional number interpretation.

The summit will also explore the evolving role of GCCs, which have shifted from back-office operations to managing high-value global functions such as digital risk, AI governance, and sustainability reporting. International participants will discuss India’s strengths in delivering “compliance at scale” and “strategy as a service.”

For ICAI, this is more than a conference—it’s a declaration that India will lead with talent, trust, and technology, with CA’s driving this global transformation.
