CUET Exam Date 2026: Notification, Registration and Application Process

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will initiate CUET registration in the first week of February 2026 on the official NTA CUET UG website. Candidates have to apply online either through exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ or cuetug.ntaonline.in. The CUET exam date is expected to be released soon.

Before applying, candidates must satisfy the CUET eligibility for 2025-26. Applicants should ensure they go through the CUET mapping criteria when filling out the CUET application form. As for now, candidates can opt for up to five CUET subjects only.

Earlier, UGC informed CUET exam 2025 modification for deletion of CUET UG subjects, change of mode of examination, uniformity in duration and no. of questions in subjects etc. The number of subjects offered through the CUET exam has been slashed down to 37 (13 languages, 23 CUET domain subjects, and general test) from 63.

Other eliminated subjects are 20 foreign languages and six domain courses (Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, Engineering Graphics).

CUET Exam Registration Process Explained

The CUET application form is likely to be available in February by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students can access the form online on the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in. To process for the CUET 2025 application form, candidates must follow these steps:

  • Registration: Register on cuet.samarth.ac.in and enter all the required information while completing the registration form.
  • Login Credentials: After registration, the candidates will get the ID and Password on the email id and mobile number which has been registered at the time of registration process.
  • Login: You must then use the CUET login ID to again get the application form.
  • Document Upload: Upload photograph and signature in the format as specified by the bank .
  • Fee Payment: Complete the application process for CUET 2025 by depositing your application fee through the payment gateway.
  • Save and Print: After filling up the application form, it is prudent to keep a copy for future use. You can take out a print of that.

CUET Correction Window

National Testing Agency will open the CUET correction window shortly after CUET registration is completed. Those students who have registered as well as submitted the CUET online form fee of the application form will be capable of editing the details. Students will be able to make changes to the subject choice, the universities, their qualifications, etc once the correction window is open. The NTA will keep open the CUET correction window for a period of 2 days only. Hence, students must keep a note of the correction window CUET exam date.

Breakdown of CUET Exam Fees

The final stage in the CUET registration is the application of fee which depends on the number of subjects a candidate wishes to appear for. These fees may be paid through online modes such as debit card, credit card, unified payment interface or through net banking. One has to note that the CUET 2025 registration is not complete until the CUET exam fees have been paid.
