ICAI News – The CA Intermediate Group II, Paper-5: Auditing and Ethics has been officially rescheduled by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) due to the Maharashtra’s Municipal Corporation elections, the exam that was originally scheduled for January 15, 2026, has been rescheduled for January 19, 2026.
Key facts the candidates should know:
1. New date: 19 January, 2026.
2. Old date: 15 January, 2026 (now cancelled for this paper)
3. The exam time remains the same, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The same examination centres will be utilized.
4. Admit cards already issued remain valid for the rescheduled date; no fresh admit card download is necessary unless ICAI issues a separate update.
What this means for students
If you have planned your travel or stay arrangement as per the old date, you need to update them now. Confirm your exam centre location, & travel time so that you are able to reach early on 19th January. Keep a printed, & digital copy of your admit card, and a valid photo ID as usual.
