ICAI News – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has released an important update for all CA students who are preparing for the Advanced ICITSS – Advanced Information Technology Test. This official announcement confirms that the exam will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on multiple dates from January 2026 to December 2026.
The Advanced ICITSS test is compulsory for CA Final students, & ICAI has now made it easier by conducting the exam every month. According to the notification, the tests will be held on the 8th of every month, starting from 8 January 2026 & continuing through 8 December 2026. The exam timing for every attempt will be 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Form Dates and Eligibility
ICAI has also released the application schedule for each attempt. For every test, the form opens on the 10th and closes on the 14th of the same month. Only students who have already completed the Advanced ICITSS – Advanced IT course are allowed to apply. Applications must be submitted online only at the official portal, and no late fee option is available.
Exam Centres Across India and Abroad
To make the Advanced ICITSS test accessible, ICAI will conduct it in dozens of cities across India & international locations such as Dubai and Kathmandu. Students must select an exam city from the list given in the notification. ICAI may shift candidates to another city if the minimum number of candidates is not met.
Test Fee Details
ICAI has confirmed that first-time applicants do not have to pay any exam fee.
For second and subsequent attempts, the fee is:
- ₹500 for Indian centres
- USD $150 for Dubai
- ₹850 for Kathmandu
- Payment must be done online at the time of form submission.
ICAI has further announced that to promote digital learning, 20 new CBT centres will be added during March and April 2026. This will help more students take the Advanced ICITSS test without long travel.
