ICAI News – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will open the “ICAI Correction Window” for the January 2026 sessions of the CA Foundation, Inter, & Final exams soon. This correction window is a critical opportunity for candidates to update key details in their application forms.

What is the ICAI Correction Window?
The ICAI Correction Window allows exam applicants to change certain details in their submitted exam application form, generally the exam centre city, exam medium (English/Hindi) & group or attempt. For January 2026 exams, the dates for the correction window are 20 to 22 November, 2025.
Key Dates & Details (Foundation, Inter & Final)
- Registration & exam form submission has already begin on 3rd November for Jan 2026 session.
- The last date for exam form (without late fee) is 16 Nov, 2025 and with late fee it is 19 Nov, 2025.
- ICAI Correction Window expected 20-22 Nov 2025 for changing limited fields.
- The CA aspirants (Foundation, Intermediate, Final) should use this window to correct centre, medium or group to avoid issues later.
Who should use the Correction Window?
If you have already submitted your exam form and need to change:
- your exam city (maybe due to travel / accommodation)
- exam medium (English/Hindi)
- or opted group/level mistakenly (for Inter / Final)
then you must access the ICAI portal’s correction link within the correction window period. This helps avoid exam-day surprises and ensures you sit in your preferred city and medium.
Key Tips for Smooth Correction
- Log in to your ICAI student/SSP portal well before the window opens.
- Maintain clarity on what fields are allowed for correction (city/medium/group) — other changes like roll number, category may not be allowed.
- After correction submit the acknowledgement and take a print-out for your records.
Why it matters for your exam
A wrong city or medium can cause undue stress late in the preparation phase. The ICAI Correction Window is your safety net to align practical arrangements with your exam planning (Foundation through Final). Missing it may mean accepting the filled details as final.
