What is ICAI SPMT?
The Self-Paced Module Test (SPMT) is part of ICAI’s Self-Paced Online Modules under the CA course. The SPMT includes Sets A, B, C & D. To become eligible, a candidate must have passed the Inter Examination, registered for the Final Course & completed the required e-learning hours for the relevant paper through the ICAI LMS portal.
Candidates can register through the ICAI SPMT portal using their SSP user ID & password. They can select the city, examination centre, date & available time slot while booking the test.
The SPMT is conducted through MCQs, including individual & case scenario-based questions. Every exam carries 100 marks. To pass, students have to score at least 50. There’s no penalty for wrong answers, and you can try as many times as you need until you pass the module.
The latest ICAI SPMT 2026 update is especially important for CA Final students planning their SPOM tests in October. Students are advised to complete their preparation accordingly and check official ICAI announcements before booking their SPMT slot.
