ICAI News – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the applicable Board of Studies (BoS) study material for students appearing in the CA Foundation & CA Intermediate Sept. 2026 examinations. Students are advised to carefully check the latest study material & prepare according to the prescribed modules to avoid studying outdated content.
As per the latest notification released by ICAI’s Board of Studies, the study material editions for both Foundation & Intermediate courses have been specified, along with relevant Revisions Test Papers (RTPs) & statutory updates wherever applicable.
ICAI BoS Study Material CA Foundation Sept 2026
Students who are preparing for the September 2026 CA Foundation exam are now aware of the latest editions of study material subject-wise.
For the Accounting subject (Module 1 & Module 2), the August 2024 edition will serve as the study material along with reprints from August 2025 onwards.Quantitative Aptitude & Business Economics will also continue with the August 2024 edition (reprint August 2025 onwards).
This means Foundation students do not need to get confused between multiple editions, & should focus only on the officially applicable material to streamline their preparation.
ICAI BoS Study Material CA Intermediate Sept 2026
For CA Intermediate aspirants, ICAI has also confirmed the applicable BoS material for all papers of the Sept. 2026 attempt. Subjects such as Advanced Accounting, Corporate & Other Laws, Cost & Management Accounting, Auditing & Ethics, Financial Management, & Strategic Management will be based on the July 2024 edition (reprint August 2025 onwards), along with RTP for Sept. 2026.
A major update has been provided for Taxation. ICAI has specified that Taxation (Income-tax Law and GST) will follow the July 2025 edition & students must also refer to the RTP for Sept. 2026 along with statutory updates applicable for the examination.

Every CA attempt brings confusion among students regarding which modules, amendments, & editions are applicable. Studying from old material can affect exam preparation, & may lead to missing important amendments or revised concepts.
