ICAI has approved the new CA course. Students can get an official notification in the following 10 -15 days from ICAI.
In the new course, ICAI reduced the CA articleship period from 3 to 2 years and made changes in syllabus from all three levels.
The new CA course will be implemented from May 2024 attempt.
2 out of 6 subjects are removed which are : 1. Business Correspondence & Reporting 2. Business & Commercial Knowledge.
1. Papers 1 & 5 are merged into 1st Paper (Advanced Accounting)
2. Papers 7 & 8 are merged into Paper 6
If students got an exemption in one paper, it will be permanent for future attempts.
Duration - 3 to 2 years. Stipend - 100% increment. Leaves - 1/7th period to 24 Days.
4 self-paced modules are added by ICAI in CA's new scheme. Students have to study them on their own & give online exams.
CA Final Syllabus in New Scheme
In the new CA course, the count of papers reduces from 8 to 6. However, the exemption will be permanent for future attempts.
Students will now receive the certificate of Business Accounting Associate. After the completion of CA Inter exams, training, & 4 modules.
