Joining a CA Foundation coaching depends on student to student. But if you want to make a strong foundation from the beginning, you must join good coaching.
If youre preparing for the May and September attempts, start immediately after the 12th board. However, you can begin your coaching in May or June if you take the September exams.

If you are sure you want to become CA, you should start your CA Foundation preparation from class 11th onwards. This will help you understand the concepts for the CA Foundation level from the beginning. Students can also join VSIs integrated program for the 11th + 12th and CA Foundation.
It majorly depends on the students, their needs and their way of learning. If you have good ca coaching nearby, then take the offline classes. But, if you want to join ca coaching that is not located in your city or is far from your home, then take online classes.
The minimum passing marks for the CA Foundation exam are 40 % in each paper and 50 % in aggregate.
